  • Scroll of painted silk damask. At either end of the scroll is a pair dragons with an inscription between them woven in white on black (at one end) and red (at the other). The scroll is divided into four panels with a woven design of cloud forms in white on black, red, yellow and white respectively. The Commission, for the appointment of a Provincial Governor, is painted in red, green, blue and black down the length of the scroll. There are two square seals also painted in red on the yellow panel. At the end, a panel of woven silk with a red ground and a scrolling floral design is stuck to the last yellow silk damask portion with the same cloud pattern. There is an inscription on blue paper at one end of the scroll. (en)
