  • Armchair of carved mahogany with upholstered back and seat. The back is rectangular, the arms, which curve sharply outwards, are carved on their upper surface with scrolls and coquillage ornament. The arms have rounded ends which merge with the supports; the supports, which are set back on the seat rail, reverse the curve of the arms and are carved in the same style. The front legs are of cabriole form carved on the knees with rococo ornament and finish in foliage above ball feet, into which castors have been sunk. The back legs slope outwards and are plain, finishing in ball feet. The chair is upholstered in modern imitation damask. (en)
