| - Said to have been used for "Peter's pence" -- money sent yearly to Rome. Linen completely covered with silk. Design: coat of arms surmounted by crown and canopy, surrounded by rococo foliage, worked in fine petit-point with pink yellow, green, blue, cream white, and a little black silk, with gold and silver thread, (several threads used together), on a neutral bluish violet ground. Back and front similar, bound with gold braid, a blue tasselled cord on top. (en)
