"Man\u2019s three-quarter circular cloak made of crimson silk damask of 5-end satin with a large-scale pattern of stylised plants and crowns, arranged in a diamond shape. It is decorated with 53 stylised foliate motifs couched with silver and silver gilt fil\u00E9, twist and crimson silk floss, applied along the front openings and hem, and bordered with silver-gilt fil\u00E9 couched over thick, plied linen thread. The seams are covered with couched silver-gilt fil\u00E9. The cloak has a 3 \u00BC inch (8 cm) deep collar, applied with six couched motifs and bordered with silver-gilt fil\u00E9 couched over thick, plied linen thread. The cloak is faced with crimson silk taffeta and probably originally had a lining."@en . . . .
