"Panel of embroidered cream silk with coloured silks in long and short and satin stitches, and with applied silver sequins, metal thread and metal strips. Within a border of entwined ribbons and floral motifs is a ciborium containing a rayed host inscribed 'I.H.S.'. The ciborium is supported by clouds containing three cherubs' heads and two further cherubs looking down from the upper corners. The heads of the cherubs are drawn on the silk and lightly shaded with watercolours.\n\nThe top of the panel has been altered by the insertion of a 1.25 inch wide strip of a coarser material. Five floral sprays have been added to fill the central panel but the border design continues over the join. The panel is backed. With an inserted strip cut separately and is backed. The marks of tapes are visible all round the edges."@en .
