Double-breasted, and is hip length at the sides and front but dips to a shallow point at the centre back. The shape is slightly flared from the shoulders and hangs loosely. The sleeves are set into the armholes and are wrist-length. The jacket has a collar with small lapels and closes in the front sealskin covered buttons connected with frog fastenings. There are three large hooks and eyes so that the jacket can fasten to the left. There is also a hook in the fur on the right hand shoulder to fasten the collar down.
