Meestal katoenen, lange witte mouw. Lijkt op een serie pofmouwen die samen één mouw vormen; bandjes of lint scheiden de opbollende segmenten. Ontstaat rond 1800, als gevolg van Napoleon's aanwezigheid in Egypte. Long sleeves with a series of puffs that diminish in size from the shoulder to the wrist. The style was popular in Paris under the First Empire, ca.1804-1814, and was named for the Egyptian cavalry of Mamelukes led by Napoleon I.
