Composed of two parts. A strip of seven repeat rows of acheik (horizontal wave patterned) silk textile with checkered end borders in reds, greens and yellows on a warp ground of alternating bands of red and green to which is attached a separately woven silk train of pink with a pattern of fine stripes in maroon and white. The components are hand stitched together. To complete the hta-mein there would have been a cotton waistband of a dark colour joined to the acheik panel and the whole would have been lined with a soft cotton cloth. Burmese multi-coloured silk hta-mein (incomplete). Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885). ca. 1850. Acheik-luntaya patterned area.
