Textile fragment and panel of brocaded silk, woven chiefly in blue, green and yellow coloured silks and gilt thread tissue.
Horizontal rows of circular medallions enclose conventional lotus flowers within hexagonal compartments which also contain clouds and geometric ornament. Rows of similar medallions enclose a pair of dragons and are placed at the juncture of a larger hexagonal compartment which contain phoenixes, butterflies and floral devices. The remaining spaces are filled with geometrical devices and parrots on clouds.
