Silk playbill with fringed edge advertising a Benefit performance for Miss Smithson at the Theatre Royal, Cheltenham, on Saturday, 9 Sept 1826. The performance featured a production of <i>The Stranger</i>, a comic song entitled 'I Never Says Nothing to Nobody' performed by Mr. Atkins, a Pas Seul performed by Miss R. Cooke, and a production of the farce <i>The Citizen</i>. The rest of the company included Miss Smithson, Mr. Cooke, Mr. Mathews, Mr. Melville, Mr. Walton, Mr. Fisher, Master Cooke, Miss Cooke, Miss Thompson, Mr. Strickland, Mr. Barry, Mr. Blacker, Mr. Granby, Mrs. Warren. Tickets could be bought from Mr. Adamson at the theatre box office, or as was usual for Benefits, from the beneficiary, Miss Smithson, at 3, Sherborne Terrace, Cheltenham. Printed by T.
