On right are 3 large plants (columbine, rose, and honeysuckle) two small sprigs a fly, caterpillar, and a bird. On left are rosettes, acorns, strap-work, S-forms within compartments, lozenges, etc. Stitches (ref: Mrs. A. Christie) tent, cross, back, rococo, stem, Roumanian, plaited, braid, satin, darning, drawn and composite stitches worked with gold and silver thread (gilded silver wound on yellow silk and silver wound on white silk) and silk (red, pinks, greens, yellowish-greens, yellows, blues, cream. Edged with buttonholing; letters C S (backwards) O, I, S, H, D, and P E, apparently without meaning. Designs of birds traced in lower right corner are worked over with unrelated geometric patterns. Unfinished. Stained, lower left corner torn.
