The wide loose sleeves have probably been altered. There is a dark blue kesi band round the centre of the sleeves which cuts into the shoulder roundels. Below is a band of turquoise-green silk of different colour to the ground and a deep cuff of blue kesi bands round the neck, side opening and sleeves is a narrow band of blue and gold tissue with a pattern of small flower sprays. The robe is lined with yellow silk except for the deep cuffs, which are lined with blue silk. Lady's robe, silk tapestry (kesi), China, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-1795).
