Image robe for a statue, converted from a woman’s smock of linen, embroidered with coloured silks and partially wrapped silver filé. It has a high square neckline and full sleeves; the cuffs and neck are edged with needle-lace picots. The smock was shortened and the hem embroidered into picots. The sleeves and gussets were unpicked, re-hemmed and blue and pink silk ribbons attached to fasten the sleeves.
