Sash of silk decorated with bands in red, grey, yellow and green silk and gold thread. At each end of the sash are four narrower stripes of each colour and a gold band 28.5 inches long. Black silk warp, tabby woven. In the bands of gold, the wefts of gold thread are carried across 6 warp threads at once. At each end is a fringe about 2.5 inches long formed by the black warp threads together with a short tuft of gold thread. The gold thread is a gilt metal strip on a silk core.
