This <i>Gajji</i> silk, tie-dyed head-cover, called a <i>chorsa</i> in the acquisition records, is made up of two identical pieces sewn together.Odhani, silk, Gujarat, c. 1867This beautiful head-cover, or <i>odhani</i>, is made up of two identical pieces and was aquired by the Museum in 1867, for 40 rupees. A note written at the time states that it was highly 'valued on account of the time and labour bestowed on it in the dyeing'.
