Man's waistcoat with a ¾-inch (2 cm) standing collar, straight fronts and curving skirts reaching to the middle of the thigh. Each front has a pocket and pointed pocket flap. The fronts and pocket flaps are made of bleached linen with narrow vertical stripes of green twill; the back is linen. The waistcoat, pockets and pocket flaps are lined with linen. The front is double-breasted and can be buttoned to either side. There is 1 worked buttonhole on the left side of the collar and 1 on the left front at the waist, each with a green and white silk covered button on the right. The overlapping fronts are edged with 10 worked buttonholes and 1 placed diagonally in the upper corner.
