Child's dress of silk and silver thread from North India dating from the mid nineteenth century.PRINCE'S COAT
Silk thread wrapped in silver has been used to weave the fabric of this costly child's coat. It is highlighted with strips of silver ribbon (gota). The coat is a miniature version of an adult's angarkha, an elegant garment characterised by a close-fitting circular neckopening and a chest panel which fastens neatly underneath.
