Set of dress trimmings of brocaded silk ribbons. With a design of intermingled stems bearing ears of corn, poppies, cornflowers, daisies, forget-me-nots, buttercups and hare bells in coloured silks on a ground covered with white crimped silk. These silks are based on a plain ribbon of ribbed silk brocaded with coloured silks, and the crimped silk in long floats on the surface or on the back of the ribbon, protruding at either side to form a fringe.Set of dress trimmings of brocaded silk ribbons, England, 1850s
