Linen backed with linen canvas and embroidered with silver-gilt thread, silk cord, sequins, chenille thread and silks in shades of cream, green, yellow, blue, mauve, red and black in satin, long and short, stem split and tent stitches with French knots, couched and laid work. Series of 14 motifs, largely floral but including a griffin and a Chinese-inspired bird.
