The border is filled with palmettes and flowers between two narrow scroll borders. Warps of white cotton, S plied and Z spun on two levels. 24 threads to the inch. Wefts of red silk. 12 shoots to the inch. Pile of white cotton and coloured wools, all Z spun. Most of the knots consist of three strands of 2 spun wool or cotton. Pile short and worn. Persian knots: 12 horizontally and 12 vertically. 144 to square inch. The selvedges are not original and overcast with red wool. The ends, with one end re-woven, and the other with remains of warp fringe.
