Handkerchief of cream silk printed in pale buff and pale yellow. The silk contains a number of weaving faults. The centre of the handkerchief is filled with two large tulip-like flowers and their leaves, repeated in rows. One flower is full-blown, the other half-closed. They are outlined in buff, with areas printed in yellow and shading in dots of buff. There is a shadow indicated beneath the cut stems by means of grouping dots. The border consists of a leaf and seed pod meander between two narrow guard-stripes decorated with dots.
