Transferred from India Museum 1879. These trousers were collected in Udaipur as part of a man's costume, of which the other constituents were a white muslin robe, a red cotton scarf and a red cotton turban. The price for the whole ensemble was 84 rupees, 12 annas, and 3 paisa. Although worn in Rajasthan, the mashru material of these trousers is typical of Varanesi.
