One of the most significant designers of the 'Aesthetic Movement', Bruce Talbert (1838-1881), produced designs for a number of textile firms including Ward of Halifax. This design shows similarities in pattern and an identical technique used in Ward samples already in the Museum's collection (see T.97-1953).
