Furnishing fabric of yellow silk damask. With a symmetrical design of a succession of fruit, flower and leaf forms, based on lattice or fancy fillings, and diverging from a central stem. A scrolling ribbon-like form with one smooth edge and one edge serrated like a leaf. This appears from the tips of two broad leaves which flank a flower head from which hang two pomegranates. The ribbon-form loops upwards and inwards, ending in a long lobe filled with a chevron pattern, and dots which spill over into triangular shapes between the loops of the ribbon. In the stem which springs from this composite, the ribbon form appears again, here more foliate since large leaves spring from one if its loops. There is no repeat vertically. The selvedges and a little pattern to either side are missing. Satin of 5 with a gros de tours reverse.
