Woven tapestry made of wool and silk. Moses, with a rod held in his right hand, and Aaron stand at the right in the foreground. Birds at their feet share the feast of manna. Three children and three kneeling men, one with another child, are gathering the manna in the centre and left foreground. Behind are other groups of Israelites, most of them kneeling to gather the manna in urns, bowls and baskets between lines of tents which recede into the far distance. in the middle distance on the left is a group of four men gesticulating in wonder. The border contains a multi coloured scroll of thick acanthus leaves and fantastic flowers on a buff ground. This border is now three sides only, but the present right hand border came from the bottom of this tapestry or from another piece in the set. The outer edging, woven with the name of James Bridges to either side of the Mortlake mark, has been reapplied.
