The straight apron panel is pleated into the waistband and has two slit pockets edged with piping, encircled by an embroidered line of flowers and each decorated with a green silk tassel. A curving trail of flowers, leaves and wheat-ears runs from below each pocket slit round the lower part of the apron. The apron is entirely hand-stitched. It fastens with two brass hooks and eyes.
