The compartments contain one of two variations of the same arrangement: a star-like rosette in metal thread with a red silk centre surrounded by either a circle or a square, also in metal and red silk. Radiating from this are stylised leaves and flowers. At the upper edge of two pieces there is a band of blue weft, probably marking the end of a loom piece. One selvedge: two white cotton cords.
