Long and narrow shawl woven in wool, silk and cotton. With a plain blue centre with a patterned border about 2.5 feet deep (30 inches) at each end and a narrower side border, and the motifs project into the plain centre. The ends borders contain elongated cones slanted across one another in a graceful design. The side border contains thin cones clustered together and looking like the leaves of a plant. The main colours are red, brown-maroon, green, white, yellow, turquoise-blue and lilac pink. There is a narrow selvedge at each side woven with emerald green silk. At the ends are differently coloured silk warps inserted to make areas of maroon and brown at the sides, green at the middle, and red between them. There is a warp fringe loosely twisted. The 2/1 twill weave for the pattern is coarse.
