- Picture of tapestry woven silk (kesi) with painted details. Depicting a mountain landscape, with pines, peach-trees, and lingzhi fungus, the three sacred plants of the Daoist, growing from the rocks. There are two pavilions, with storks flying to and fro carrying written slips in their beaks across the water which separates the pavilions. Beside the pavilion in the foreground are grouped upon a rocky ledge the Eight Daoist Immortals. At the point of the same rock crouches Liu Hai, with a besom and a string of cash in his hand, waiting for his familiar, the three-legged toad, which is seen swimming towards him. Two other figures on the left hand side, one carrying a spray of lotus and the other a round box, are the twin Immortals of Harmony and Union (He-He Er Xian, 和合二仙). Below them are the "three aged figures" of Daoist mythology, one with a staff, the second carrying a lingzhi sceptre, the third unrolling a scroll on which is painted the yinyan symbol. Some other pilgrims are standing on the bridge opposite. (en)
