Curtain with scalloped edge at bottom made from French red copper-plate printed cotton depicting pastoral scenes and neo-classical ornament. Medallions at center, which originally depicted putti, were re-etched on the plate with designs from the front and back of Franklin Peace Medal designed by Gibelin and executed by Dupré in 1782. Orignally titled, "Les occupations villageoises," and retitled "La Liberté Americaine. Stamped at the top "Manufacture de Oberkampf a Jouy près Versailles."
