La monarquía Tutsi posee ricas tradiciones de poesía dinástica y música de corte. Los Tutsi son un grupo étnico cuyo origen probablemente viene del neolítico y que llegaron al área en el siglo XIV o XV. Eran pastores y guerreros nómades que gradualmente dominaron a los Hutu, generalmente por medio de infiltración pacífica y el establecimiento de un sistema feudal encaezado por un rei tutsi y una aristocracia, al tiempo que adoptaban la lenguas Bantu de los Hutu. - Beschrijft werken die zijn vervaardigd door het gelijknamige Afrikaanse volk, dat hoofdzakelijk in Burundi en Rwanda leeft, met inbegrip van traditionele ambachten als weven, parelkralen maken en manden weven. De Tutsi-monarchie kende een rijke traditie van dynastieke poëzie en hofmuziek. De Tutsi's, een etnische groep die vermoedelijk afkomstig is uit het Nijlgebied, vestigde zich in de 14de of 15de eeuw in dit gebied. Deze rondtrekkende herders en krijgers gingen geleidelijk de reeds aanwezige Hutu's overheersen, door middel van vreedzame infiltratie en de invoering van een feodaal stelsel onder leiding van een Tutsi-koning en Tutsi-aristocratie; wel namen ze de Bantoetalen van de Hutu's over. The Tutsi monarchy had rich traditions of dynastic poetry and courtly music. The Tutsi are an ethnic group of probable Nilotic origin who came into the area in the 14th or 15th century. They were nomadic herders and warriors who gradually dominated the resident Hutu through generally peaceful infiltration and the establishment of a feudal system headed by the Tutsi king and aristocracy, at the same time adopting the Hutu's Bantu languages.
